Jhol (Chat in Hindi/Marathi/Telugu/Kannada/Gujarati on Yahoo Messenger)
Yahoo Messenger 8
If you are using Yahoo messenger 8, I suggest you use the Jhol plugin I recently developed, it lets you chat in Indian Languages inside Yahoo Messenger, such as Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu etc. and has my virtual keyboard (d-board) for assistance.

Download Jhol for Yahoo Messenger
Yahoo Messenger 7
If you are using an older Yahoo messenger, then use the Jhol program, its a small program I wrote to enable people to chat in Devanagari (Hindi/Marathi) on Yahoo Messenger. Haven't tested it on a wide platform, but it works well on Yahoo Messenger 7.0 with Windows XP.
IMPORTANT: The Jhol Exe needs the .NET framework to run, if you get an error which says "Application Failed to Initialize", it means you don't have the .NET frame work installed. You will have to download and Install the .NET framework. Search for "download .NET Framework", you can easily get it from www.microsoft.com/downloads/
The program as of now, is exceptionally buggy, hopefully when I get a little time I'll clean up the bugs. But development for Jhol for YM has almost stopped, It is much more convenient write a plugin. If you want to chat in Indian Languages, I strongly suggest you get Yahoo Messenger 8 and get the plugin, I'll be adding a lot more languages soon.
You download the older program from here (10Kb / zip file)
If you want to write an (Devanagari) article on the hindi/marathi wikipedia or on any site for that matter, or for any general purpose (chat, database etc.) You can use the following application, copy the text on the clipboard and then copy it back to the site where you want to write the article.
